Strength and Conditioning Course for World Athletics Lecturers

During the Covid-19 pandemic, ADC Jakarta re-implemented its second activity virtually. Strength and Conditioning Course for World Athletics Lecturers was conducted through a zoom facility and was attended by 67 Lecturers (Level 1 and Level 2) from 18 different countries.

Lecturers in this Course were Mr. Ria Lumintuarso (INA / Director of ADC Jakarta), Mr. Veeramani Chidambaram (SGP), and Mr. Ekkawit Sawangphol (THA).

Introduction from the ADC Jakarta Director, Mr. Ria Lumintuarso officially opened the Course at 10AM sharp (Jakarta time). He continued to deliver one of Course material : Methodology of Conditioning Training.

Mr. Veeramani Chidambaram subsequently continued to deliver other parts:  Coordination Of Movement Patterns, Functional Anatomy, Biomechanics Of Strength Training, Training Theory – Endurance, and LOAD : V/I/R Means & Methods. Mr. Ekkawit Sawangphol, whereas, was delivering Principles Of Training, Training Theory – Speed, Training Theory – Strength, and Flexibility Development

Strength and Conditioning Design

After all Lecturers delivered their material, then the participants were assigned to create a Micro and Unit Training Program on Strength and Conditioning. Participants were devided in groups according to their events specialization. Each group then had to present their Program through ZOOM.

The Area Development, Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt, gave his time to greet the Participants. He expressed his gratitude that eventhough during the pandemic era, ADC Jakarta Activities could run smoothly.

On the fourth day Mr. Ria Lumintuarso explained how to make “Strength and Conditioning Training” videos. The participants then were assigned to make videos production in groups about “Strength and Conditioning” exercises in accordance with their respective group events specialization. Each of the videos production were presented to the course participants via ZOOM.

Director of ADC Jakarta, Mr. Ria Lumintuarso congcluded the course activities at 04.30PM.  In general,  all participants felt that during the 4-days course, every day they were learning something new. The Participants thanked to all Lecturers for having all the Lecturers’ expertise in which had formed and made the Participants perfect.
