World Athletics Lecturers’ Workshop for Future Education

Due to the covid19 pandemic period, for the first time, ADC Jakarta Activities will be conducted virtually.
The first activity that has been carried out on June 08 – 09, 2020 was “World Athletics Lecturers’ Workshop for Future Education” through the zoom platform and participated by 62 CECS Level I and Level II Lecturers from 17 Member Federation countries.

On that occasion, the President of AAA, Gen. Dahlan Jumaan Al Hamad, gave his speech on the implementation of the Lecturers’ Workshop which was first held during the covid19 pandemic period. The President hoped that it could be put to the best use by the participants. He also expected that the activities carried out by the ADC Jakarta will also be followed by other ADCs.

As it was appreciated by the Asian Development Director, Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt, who will ask other ADCs to immediately design similar activities.

The keynote speaker in this Workshop was Mr. Ria Lumintuarso (Director of ADC Jakarta) who delivered the main materials: Learning Theory and Models. Besides Mr. P. Radhakrishnan Nair (IND) and Mr. Veeramani Chidambaram (SGP) delivered material on the idea and practice of online education: a case study in India and Singapore.

In order to this online Workshop producing useful educational product proposals for future learning, Mr. Ria Lumintuarso divided the participants into 6 different discussion groups.

Each group was assigned to make a proposal about a distance learning system (online) with different themes. All the 6 groups presented results of the discussion to the Workshop Participants.

The Workshop was closed on June 09, 2020, at 4.30 PM (Jakarta Time) by the Director of the ADC Jakarta and in general, all participants were satisfied and enlightened about coaching education during the covid19 pandemic period.
